Alessandro Bottacchiari

Alessandro Bottacchiari was born in Bergamo in 1984, graduated in Classical Trumpet at the Conservatory “G. Donizetti” of Bergamo (ITALY) under the guidance of Ermes Giussani in 2006.

Studied jazz and improvisation at the Centro Didattico Produzione Musica (CDPM) of Bergamo with
Sergio Orlandi.

Master degree in jazz trumpet at the Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi” in Milan under the guidance of Giovanni Falzone and Alberto Mandarini in 2015.

Extended study of classical and jazz music both with Roberto Rivellini, Reinhold Friederich, Gabriele Cassone, Gabriele Comeglio, John Barclay and Kyle Gregory.

Collaborated as soloist with the Civica Jazz Band of Enrico Intra, Jazz Company Big Band, Nick The NightFly Orchestra (resident band, Blue Note Milano) and with the “JWOrchestra” Marco Gotti.

Played with: (most important) Lew Soloff, Bob Mintzer, Gianluigi Trovesi, Dave Weckl, Fabrizio Bosso, Bobby Watson, Roberto Gatto, Tino Tracanna, Enrico Intra, Franco Ambrosetti, Tullio De Piscopo, Pee Wee Ellis, and many others, playing in festivals like the Bergamo Jazz, Vicenza Jazz Festival, Malta Jazz Festival, Iseo Jazz Festival, Padova Jazz Festival and many other.

Recorded many albums with varius Jazz Orchestras and in the 2018, he recorded his first jazz album “The Turning Point” published by italian label TOSKY RECORD.

He used to work as a session player in the Milan area, collaborating with the most important studios for the production of jingles, TV music, soundtracks, musicals and major labels productions.

He currently plays as a freelance musicians and teaches trumpet at CDpM in Bergamo and in other music schools near Milan.
